Saturation Traffic Net For Milpitas Wednesday Morning

A "High VisibilityTraffic Enforcement Operation" will bring traffic officers from six different police agencies to crack down on bad drivers

MILPITAS - You're going to see traffic cops everywhere this morning if you're driving the streets of Milpitas.

Suggestion: Keep both your hands on the wheel. Don't text. Those officers will be watching you more than ever today.

It's called a High VisibilityTraffic Enforcement Operation. In essence, Milpitas Police and six other nearby police agencies will saturate city streets until around 11 a.m. The detail began at 7:00 a.m. this morning, as you can see in this tweet.

All those officers are going to be patrolling in school zones, high complaint areas, and high accident rate areas.

They'll be watching for jaywalkers, drivers who slide through stop signs, and distracted drivers, among other priorities.

Officers from Milpitas PD, Santa Clara County Sheriff, Mountain View PD, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, Los Altos PD, Campbell PD, and Santa Clara PD all helped in the operation.
