South Bay Auto, Home Burglary Arrests Made: Police

From the car to the home from one side of the South Bay to the other, officers have been out in the last few weeks tracking down suspects.

MILPITAS, CA — South Bay police departments have been on the prowl taking burglary suspects into custody.

The Milpitas Police Department arrested Tuesday a 23-year-old Oakland suspect after officers reviewed security camera footage and saw the suspect's green Honda HR-V at a shopping center located on the 400 block of Barber Lane.

After a multi-city search narrowed his location, Joseph Ronzelle Lane was picked up by San Francisco police and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on accusations of auto burglary. The officer was also able to obtain latent fingerprint evidence from a victim’s vehicle and linked it to Lane.

More burglary arrests in Los Altos

Los Altos Police responded to a report two weeks ago of a residential burglary that had just occurred in the 500 block of Lassen Street. A patrol officer located the suspect vehicle, a maroon/burgundy Chevrolet Tahoe, and conducted an enforcement stop near the intersection of Foothill Expressway and Magdalena Avenue in Los Altos.

The vehicle was occupied by Jose Mora-Villalobos and Rosa Arellano, who were arrested upon officers conducting a search of the interior of the vehicle resulting in the alleged discovery of stolen property from three residential burglaries and thefts in Los Altos. The two suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of burglary.
