AccuWeather forecasters said Californians can expect rain and cooler temps.

CALIFORNIA -- AccuWeather forecasters said Californians can expect rain and cooler temperatures during the first week of 2018. AccuWeather predicts that the "worst of the rainfall" will hit Northern California but temperatures will drop statewide.
AccuWeather Meteorologist Brett Edwards said the " storm system is expected to move into the California area by Thursday night into Friday."Showers will persist through most of the coastal regions and bring some periods of heavy rainfall beginning on Thursday."
Where heavier rain persists, flooding may be possible in poor drainage areas in addition to potential mudslides in burn scar areas," the AccuWeather article stated.
