City Announces New Mural For Mission Viejo Animal Services Center
Residents whose lives have been touched by the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center were urged to stop by and take a photo by the mural.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center has a new look, after the addition of a mural on one of the walls of the center's main building was announced.

The mural was designed, painted and installed by Chris Trisnan of CT Designs and features a dog and two cats set against the backdrop of Saddleback Mountain.
The mural is dedicated to all of the pets and families who have been touched by MVAS, MVAS Director Brynn Lavison told Patch.

"Mission Viejo Animal Services staff and I thought it would be a great idea to add a mural to a recessed wall of the side of the building," Lavison told Patch. "This mural would create a beautiful back drop for our adoption photos as well as any other photo opportunities that we might have, and it would be a nice dedication to honor the pets that have been adopted and the families who have opened their hearts and homes to those pets."
Lavison said she reached out to an old friend, a successful artist, who owns and operates a business that provides not only murals but all types of signs.

The concept for the mural itself was created by Trisnan and Lavison.
"I think that the result is just beautiful," she said. "Chris spent a good amount of time making everything perfect, and the wall looks wonderful."
To honor these families, they were invited to come visit the mural — along with their adopted dog — for a visit to the center to take a photograph in front of the new mural.
Visitors were urged to stop by the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center on Saturday, Aug. 30 from noon to 4 p.m. For a small donation to Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), one of the MVAS volunteers will be available to take a 4x6 photo of your family to take home and frame.
