Crash On 5 Freeway Injures 1, Slows Traffic For Miles In Mission Viejo
The crash was reported at 11:44 a.m. and resulted in an hourlong SigAlert on the freeway near Crown Valley Parkway, authorities said.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — At least one person was injured in a two-car crash on the Interstate 5 freeway in Mission Viejo late Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The condition of the injured person is not yet known.
The crash was reported at 11:44 a.m. on the southbound freeway near Crown Valley Parkway, authorities said. One car was overturned as a result of the crash, according to the CHP log.

The SigAlert was issued at 11:49 a.m. and is expected to last a full hour.
Authorities advised residents to steer clear of the area while the SigAlert is in place.
