Her patient had a history of overdosing, according to the state medical board.

A Mission Viejo doctor has been publicly admonished for prescribing "large amounts of pain medication" to a patient with a history of overdosing.
Dr. Sherri Jia-Liang Lee received the public reprimand Thursday from the state medical board.
Lee was also criticized for failing to refer the patient to a drug dependency treatment center.
The doctor has a family practice at Kaiser Permanente on Maquina, according to WebMD.
Lee's state medical record shows that a $1.8 million arbitration award was granted in Nov. 2007. No other information about the award is given.
