Food Truck Guide for Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Trabuco Hills High
Snowy ice, whipped-cream crepes and sausages with wine and nutmeg.
Food trucks are coming to Trabuco Hills High (27501 Cordova Road) from 5:30 to 8:30 Wednesday evening. Here are the trucks this week:
- ShareMii Snowy Ice Truck: Dessert snowy ice in flavors like Nilla Kat Smash, Polar Bear and O Face. What is snowy ice? "A fusion of ice cream and shave ice: it’s not as dense as ice cream and is much fluffier than shave ice."
- Frijolitos Mobile Coffee Shop: Lattes, hot chocolate and espresso served either iced or hot, along with Mexican dessert pastries.
- Piaggio on Wheels: A taco truck serving empanadas, quesadillas and sandwiches with premium ingredients. They make sandwiches with 100 percent Argentine pork sausage (wine, nutmeg, garlic).
- Chomp Chomp Nation: Singapore Sloppy Joes (beef braised in coconut milk, lemongrass, etc.), coconut jam-stuffed French toast, chili crab cakes and something called tiger slaw make up this far out far east food truck's menu.
- Street Foods Co: A trolley serving Mexican food like blue crab burritos and toasty taco bites.
- Kala Truck: Mexican food truck serving epazote black beans, creamy roasted poblanos and corn, citrus quinoa and Southern shrimp sandwiches.
- Crepes Bonaparte: Crepes, of course, both sweet and savory. The menu includes caprese, King Brie, and the Al Capone (fresh blackberries and sweetened mascarpone cheese topped with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle).
