Former Gaucho Given 3 Championship Rings—2 He Earned, Plus 1

Menelik Watson, a former Saddleback College Gaucho, was surprised to receive the wrong championship ring Wednesday.

Watson was part of the Florida State University team that in 2012 took home the ACC Championship for the first time in seven years.

The offensive lineman who was drafted this year by the Oakland Raiders expected to receive his ACC championship ring Wednesday. But instead the ring he was given said "2012 SEC champions" on the outside. Inside, the ring was properly engraved.

"Somebody's got some 'splaining to do," he reportedly told ESPN. He also said he'd keep the misprinted ring—a unique collector's item.

So Watson will receive the correct championship ring, plus his Orange Bowl ring, plus he'll hang onto the misprinted SEC ring as well.
