MISSION VIEJO, CA — Looking for a Memorial Day event to pay homage to the men and women who have served our country?
The City of Mission Viejo is hosting its Memorial Day ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 26.
The ceremony will include guest speakers Colonel Charles "Clay" Readinger, Commanding Officer of Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, and Kathryn Morrison, U.S. Army.

Attendees will also enjoy a live vocal performance by Chad Berlinghieri, a performer with the LA Philharmonic and Opera Pacific at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
In addition, a retired Orange County Fire Authority bagpiper will accompany the Marine Color Guard with song, and the ceremony will conclude with a rifle salute and playing of taps.

Coffee and light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
The Memorial Day ceremony takes place at 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 26 in The Kershaw Garden at 200 Civic Center.
