Mission Viejo Celebrates 50 Years with Cowboy Hats, Symphony

Cowboy Ken, pony rides, stagecoaches and... the Pacific Symphony?

Mission Viejo is celebrating 50 years as a community July 27 as part of the annual Prelude in the Park. It's also Mission Viejo's 25th anniversary of city incorporation, which took place in 1988.

It all takes place at the The Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way. Check out the video above for a special announcement from Councilman Dave Leckness (who may or may not have run a red light to tell you about the event).

Timeline:

  • 4 p.m.: Prelude in the Park, including pre-concert entertainment and a Musical Playground for Children
  • 7 p.m.: Concert featuring Pacific Symphony
