Mission Viejo Contestant Ousted from America's Next Top Model
Trabuco Hills High grad Jeremy Rohmer promises to return following his elimination from season 20 of America's Next Top Model.
Tyra Banks and crew eliminated Trabuco Hills High grad Jeremy Rohmer on the seventh episode of America's Next Top Model, season 20.
Rohmer, 19, was cut from the show following a Top Model-themed nail art competition with photographer Franco Lacosta.
"It's pretty disappointing and upsetting," he said with red eyes in the above video. "I feel like I have so much more potential."
Rohmer entered the contest with no prior modeling experience. He graduated from THHS in 2011 after playing water polo for the Stallions.
The show eliminates contestants based on a combined score that includes judges votes, competition points and points from viewers. Tyra Banks gave Rohmer seven points, while fellow judges Kelly Cutrone and Rob Evans each granted him five points.
Based on the fan vote, Rohmer earned an additional seven points. That plus his seven competition points gave the new model a combined score of 31, which was too low to remain in the competition.
But if you've been cheering for your hometown choice, don't give up hope. In this season, AMTM contestants can be brought back by the audience's decision later in the season.
"I'll try to come back," he said. "I have the highest social media score of all the people eliminated. I'm not done yet. I'll be back."
