The Hampton Inn Wants a Piece of South Mission Viejo

A new hotel may take up three floors near the southeast corner of Avery and Marguerite, according to a local newspaper.

The Hampton Inn and Suites wants a 101-room hotel at 28682 Marguerite Parkway, which was most recently a liquor store, according to the Orange County Register.

The proposed building has yet to be approved by the city. The 61,000-square-foot inn will be before the planning commission Sept. 9, the Register said. If approved the hotel could be open as soon as October, the project's architect told the newspaper.

This would become the city's fourth hotel.
