OC Man Charged With Shooting Neighbor In Mission Viejo, Police Say
The 55-year-old man was charged Tuesday with fatally shooting a neighbor in a Mission Viejo apartment complex.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — A Mission Viejo man was charged Tuesday with fatally shooting a neighbor in an apartment complex, authorities said.
Sean Jeffrey Williams, 55, was charged with murder with a sentencing enhancement for discharge of a gun causing death.
He is accused of killing 39-year-old Miguel Joaquin Mata on Friday. Orange County Sheriff's deputies said the shooting was reported to them at about 7:30 p.m. that day at an apartment complex on La Glorieta.

Williams, who lives in an apartment near the victim, was arrested Friday. The motive or circumstances behind the shooting were not immediately known.
