Paul's Pantry Wins Best Breakfast Poll

After taking 65 percent of the vote, won our poll asking for the best breakfast in Mission Viejo.

It was a big win for the small diner. In total, there were 85 votes cast to see whose breakfast is best in town. Paul's got 56 of those votes.

What is it people love about Paul's Pantry? Reader Erica Salisbury said it's all about their trademark cinnamon rolls, which come slathered in white icing.

Everyone had their favorite choice, but some restaurants were added to the poll because of their faithful fans. Reader Eileen Martin made sure Surfin' Donut was represented. The beachside favorite serves up hot coffee, a small menu of breakfast and lunch items and of course plenty of donuts.

Reader Anne Felmer made sure Ruby's was on the list. The spot known for its shakes and burgers also has an extensive menu of omelettes, scramnbles and even beignets.
