Residents Urged To Sign Up For Oso Fit 5K: What To Know

Looking to support a good cause in Mission Viejo? The Oso Fit 5K is coming back to town.

Lace up your running shoes and get ready to trek along the Oso Creek Trail for a great cause of your choice.

Registration is now available for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Children's Races on Saturday, February 22 from 7:30 to 11 am.

Hosted by the City of Mission Viejo and Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce, the 5K Fun Run begins at 8:30 am and takes place on the beautiful Oso Creek Trail. The race starts and ends at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way. The Kid's Run is a fun course for kids of all abilities. The Kid's Run starts at 9:30 am and features quarter- and half-mile races.

One-hundred percent of your pre-registration fee will go to a nonprofit of your choice. Early registration ends at 7 pm on Friday, February 14. Register before then to receive an event T-shirt and discounted fees. After that, the cost to participate increases.

The event also features a Community Health Fair with health and wellness organizations offering free screenings, giveaways and handouts. Health and wellness organizations that want to participate in the fair can find more information online.
