The city needs volunteers for a children's musical playground, part of the Target Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park event scheduled for Saturday, July 27.
The event began last year and included a playful conducting lesson for kids (who used straws as batons. This year the festival will include a bluegrass band and a beer and wine garden.
It will also include a musical playground for kids 3-12. That's where the volunteers come in. The city hopes to find enough volunteers for all the interactive crafts and games planned for youngsters. Volunteer shifts are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
