What's Open in Mission Viejo Around Fourth of July?

Learn what city facilities will be open, and when, during this Fourth of July holiday.

Editor's Note: Here's an update of what's open this holiday weekend, courtes of the City of Mission Viejo:

City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday in honor of the Independence Day holiday, but residents should be aware of the following holiday schedule for other City facilities.

  • Mission Viejo Animal Services Center at 28095 Hillcrest will be closed on Thursday. Limited staff will be available to respond to emergency calls only. The center will reopen at 11 a.m. on Friday. 
  • The Mission Viejo Library at 100 Civic Center will be closed on Thursday in honor of Independence Day. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday.
  • The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center at 24932 Veterans Way will be closed on Thursday and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday.
  • The Montanoso Recreation & Fitness Center at 25800 Montanoso Drive; Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center at 26887 Recodo Lane; and Marguerite Recreation Center at 23840 Marguerite Parkway will be open normal operating hours on July 4th. 
  • The Felipe Tennis Center at 27161 Nogal will be closed Thursday. All facilities will be open normal operating hours on Friday.
