Wipeout! Laguna Beach Marriage Proposal Leaves Couple Soaked

A video of a Laguna Beach marriage proposal gone totally, soakingly wrong is making waves (pun unashamedly intended) across the Internet.

Shot on the tidepools on December 21 and posted by YouTuber Matthew Hartman, it shows a man who's about to propose to his betrothed, when ... well, that's what happens when you get too close to the breaking surf.

Somehow, the ring wasn't dropped. Even more amazing is that neither of them were hurt -- those are some sharp rocks!
