• Kern County Authorities Seize 562 Marijuana Plants, Ghost Gun in Desert Grow Bust (gvwire.com) — Law enforcement activity tied directly to Mojave ramped up after deputies busted a large illegal marijuana grow in the nearby desert and booked two suspects into Mojave Jail. Kern County deputies say they seized 562 marijuana plants, a short‑barreled AR‑15‑style “ghost gun,” another pistol, and cultivation equipment during the raid near 150th Street West and Irone Avenue.
