Cacciotti Kicks Off Assembly Campaign (Photos & Video)

South Pasadena Councilman Michael Cacciotti faces Pasadena City Councilman Chris Holden in the upcoming Democratic primary this June to represent a new Assembly district that includes Monrovia.

Mayor Pro Tem Michael Cacciotti officially kicked off his State Assembly campaign at BurkeTriolo Studio Wednesday. 

In explaining why —which stretches along the San Gabriel Mountain foothills from Pasadena to Rancho Cucamonga and includes Monrovia—Cacciotti stressed the economy, environment, education and energy.

"Help me bring a new future to California," he asked of those in attendance. "Clean up the skies. Clean the air. And bring new technologies to a new California."

Cacciotti, who will be sworn in as the mayor of South Pasadena Wednesday, will face in the upcoming Democratic primary this June.
