Gunmen Rob Verizon Store on Huntington

The two armed men made off with cash and cell phones Monday night.

Police are searching for two gunmen who stormed into the store on Huntington Drive Monday night and made off with thousands of dollars worth of cash and cell phones.

The two men wearing hooded sweatshirts entered the store at about 8 p.m., according to Monrovia Police Sgt. Don Newton. No shots were fired and no one was injured, but the gunmen took thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise before fleeing. Witnesses did not see a getaway car.

Security footage of the robbery may be available and police are working with Verizon's corporate office to obtain the video, Newton said.

There were two employees in the store and the gunmen forced them to the floor before collecting the money and phones, according to the Pasadena Star-News. No shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery.
