"Over the last few years, Macy has kept the Volunteer Center of the San Gabriel Valley thriving," said Kerri Zessau

MONROVIA, CA— Without community leaders, Monrovia CA wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.
Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Macy Gracia is a leader among leaders. Her dedication to the residents of the San Gabriel Valley is unwavering, as is her commitment to beautify the City. She never misses an opportunity to work an event beyond her scheduled 30 hours a week. One of her responsibilities is to recruit, assign and supervise volunteers for citywide events.
Macy ensures her volunteers have all they need to be successful and Cities have the support they need. Over the last few years, Macy has kept the Volunteer Center of the San Gabriel Valley (VCSGV) thriving financially even during the economically challenging times. She has done this by aggressively seeking out additional funding opportunities and even taking a self-imposed pay cut. Macy is appreciated and respected by all who know her.
