Monrovia 7-Eleven Store Robbed At Gunpoint
The suspects matched the description of several other 7-Eleven store robberies in the San Gabriel Valley that night, police said.

MONROVIA, CA — A 7-Eleven store clerk was robbed at gunpoint in Monrovia last Thursday, the Monrovia Police Department reported.
The robbery happened around 11:10 p.m. May 4 at the 7-Eleven store in the 900 block of West Duarte Road, police said. When officers arrived, the clerk told police two black men wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts entered the store and asked for a pack of cigars.
When the clerk turned around, one of the men pointed a gun at the clerk and the demanded money from the registers, police said. The clerk opened one of the registers and placed the till on the counter but the suspects also wanted money from the other register, police said.

"The employee told the suspects he did not have the pin number to open it," Monrovia Police Department said in a statement. "They became impatient and left the store on foot with the till from the one register."
Police conducted an area search but did not locate the suspects. The suspects matched the description of several other 7-Eleven store robberies in the San Gabriel Valley that night, police said. There was also a similar robbery on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
