MONROVIA, CA — Monrovia Reads is hitting the road later this month.

The nonprofit organization will hold a party on Oct. 27 for the launch of its electric mobile literacy van. The van was funded in part by a grant from the California State Library, the organization said.

The car will help bring "library services to local schools and community events throughout the year," according to officials.
