Thanks to freshly redrawn district lines, Monrovia will assuredly elect new representation in all state and federal offices and the field will be narrowed for the first time in Tuesday's presidential primary.

The city is now part of the 41st Assembly district, and there are five candidates vying to represent it. Three candidates are running to represent the 25th district in the State Senate, which includes Monrovia, and the city's representation in Washington is split into two congressional districts--the 27th and 32nd--each with three candidates running to claim seats.
