New Monrovia High Running Back Called One of Best in State

The arrival of Kurt Scoby to the Wildcats football team is a "big boost," according to the local newspaper.

The Monrovia High School football team got a "big boost" with the arrival of Kurt Scoby, a runningback one local newspaper called one of the best in the state.

Scoby is academically eligible to play but still needs to be cleared by CIF, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Scoby will join sophomore Cameron Johnson in the Wildcats backfield.

"We're excited about it," Wildcats Head Coach Ryan Maddox told the Tribune. "It's just exciting to have two quality backs and athletes. I can imagine you'll see some pretty creative sets."
