A bear climbed a tree and helped itself to a meal of trash in the back yard of a home on North Alta Vista Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
"He enjoyed snacking on our garbage and roaming around the backyard for awhile, until he took off down the fence line towards Melrose," resident Monique Burklow wrote in an email to Patch.
