Residents of Madison Fire Areas Can Ask City Questions and Comment Online

Monrovia and Los Angeles County are working on mudflow mitigation measures for the burn areas and have been meeting with property owners.

The city of Monrovia is offering residents who live in the Madison Fire burn area to ask questions and make comments about ongoing mitigation efforts on its website.

The Monrovia City Council recently approved the purchase of k-rail concrete barriers to be placed near homes to protect them from mudflow debris and has been meeting with residents about their concerns.

Los Angeles County is also working mitigation measures.

In August, the Board of Supervisors authorized the county's chief engineer for the Flood Control District to move forward with installing post-fire debris barriers at a cost not to exceed $920,000.
