Three Burglary Suspects Detained in Monrovia After Traffic Stop on 210 Freeway

Three people were detained during a traffic stop on the 210 Freeway in Monrovia Thursday after a witness allegedly saw someone in the car commit a burglary in San Dimas, a sheriff's official said.

A sheriff's helicopter circled overhead for several minutes shortly before 9 a.m. when deputies pulled over a vehicle on the 210 near Mayflower Avenue, Lt. Andrew Berg of the San Dimas Sheriff's Station said. A witness allegedly saw someone in the car commit a vehicle burglary in San Dimas, Berg said.

"Essentially a witness saw someone taking items from a car at a local school here," Berg said.

Police detained the three people in the car and are determining if enough evidence is present to arrest them, Berg said. The car was reportedly involved in a previous burglary committed in Santa Clarita, Berg said.
