Panicked Mom Crashes Into Burglars’ Get-Away Car: Report
The woman was not home when she got an alarming call from her mother, who was watching her children, the family said.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A panicked Sherman Oaks mother on Saturday crashed into the car of burglars accused of trying to break into her home while her children were home alone with their grandmother, the family told media outlets.
The woman was not home when she got an alarming call from her mother, who was watching her children, saying men outside the back sliding door were trying to break into the home, KTLA 5 reported.
The mother rushed home in her Mercedes-Benz SUV and unintentionally slammed into the suspects’ white Honda, the family told KTLA.

“She was in panic,” the woman’s husband told CBS Los Angeles. “She lost control and 'boom' she hit them from the side.”
Two men fled, while a third, the suspected driver, climbed out the passenger side and ran from the car, according to video surveillance obtained by KTLA.

The family is hopeful about the thieves could be caught, as when Los Angeles police arrived, they searched the car and found a wallet, along with burglary tools, according to the husband, CBS reported.
