• Montebello duo arrested in connection with months-long organized mail thefts (keyt.com) — Two Montebello residents were arrested after Ventura County detectives tied them to an organized ring stealing checks from U.S. Postal Service collection boxes across Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Investigators searched their shared Montebello home, seizing cash, suspected stolen checks, firearms, jewelry, gaming computers, and high-end vehicles. Authorities say more charges may follow and invite additional tips from the public.
