Five Montrose-La Crescenta Schools Get Top State API Ranking
The California Department of Education has released adjusted 2012 Academic Performance Index (API) scores for public schools. Montrose-La Crescenta has five schools with the top state percentile score.

La Crescenta's Rosemont Middle School received the highest API score in the Glendale Unified School District, according to 2012 API scores released by the California Department of Education and four other local schools received a ranking that put them in the 100th percentile of all schools in the state.
The California Department of Education has released revised 2012 API scores for individual schools as well as rankings based on adjustments to the initial 2012 scores reported in October.
The API scores for La Crescenta's top scoring schools as well as the rest of the schools in the district, county and state can be accessed on the state's website or in a more handy database of API data compiled by the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
Here are the La Crescenta schools that received a 10 out of 10 from the state, with their API scores:
- Rosemont Middle School - 959
- Mountain Avenue Elementary - 952
- Monte Vista Elementary - 951
- Valley View Elementary - 925
- Anderson W. Clark Magnet - 920
