GCC Lifelong Learning offers classes for seniors

Glendale Community College's Lifelong Learning Seminars program offers classes designed for mature adults seeking educational opportunities.

Glendale Community College’s Lifelong Learning Seminars program offers classes designed for mature adults seeking educational opportunities. All classes are free. In addition to the Life Story Recording and Theater classes, two new classes are being offered this winter. Where’s My Memory will be offered at the Glendale Adult Recreation Center starting Wednesday, January 8 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This is a four-week class that will discuss new ways to improve memory and will offer opportunities to practice the skills each week during the class. Quality of Life starts Tuesday, January 7 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Sparr Heights Community Center. This class runs for six weeks and covers topics including dealing with stress, coping with difficult people, issues related to aging, loss, and grief. Registration for classes can be done online or in person on the first day of class. The program office is located at the Life Skills Building on the Verdugo Campus.
