Montrose-La Crescenta Dad 'Truly Is My Hero,' Daughter Says

What makes your Dad extra special?

Dad raised the two of us by himself. He was and still is always there for us. My brother and I probably drove him insane with our constant fighting and antics we would come up with. He taught us to stand without anyone else holding us up. He never complained about being a single dad. He was to us, the nurse, the maid, the chauffeur, the therapist — he was both parents ... He always did his best. Even when he fell on his face, he just got right back up and dusted himself off. He learned to use non-metal hair ties on my head. He truly is my hero.

Why do you feel your Dad deserves the spotlight?

He doesn’t always take credit where credit is due. I want him to realize how much of an impact he truly had on us ... He worked so hard his whole life to support us and keep us on track. Here he can see for himself how much he truly has done for us.
