Firefighters made quick work of the small brush fire Monday in a wash near the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Sunland, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman said.
It took 60 firefighters roughly an hour to knock down the 1.5-acre brush fire, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
Glendale Fire Department and Angeles National Forest crews were also on the scene of the fire, she said.

The fire started at around 2:30 p.m. and the 10 mph wind was pushing the fire into the wash, making it challenging for firefighters to get a handle on the situation initially, Stewart said.
There were no injuries reported, she said. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
