Meet An “Amazing” Who Thrives Doing What She Loves Best

Jane Brody has a simple recipe for her ability to thrive as she goes from decade to decade. Keep going.

(NJ/NPR)

Jane E. Brody, at 80, continues to write for the New York Times “Personal Health” column, syndicated nationwide, as she has for the past 45 years. Jane has been called the "High Priestess of Health" by Time magazine, and is a great believer in exercise, evidenced by her choices of playing tennis, running and swimming.

Jane advocates moderation and a healthy diet, which she describes in her books, devoted to—no big surprise—health and fitness. In addition to that, Jane has a simple recipe for her ability to thrive as she goes from decade to decade. Keep going. In her view, that’s what works best, just to keep going with whatever it is that enthuses you. What an inspiration for a long, happy, healthy life.
