Got a lot of extra junk after doing your spring cleaning? Get rid of it for free on Sunday at the Moorpark Free Landfill Day.
Moorpark residents can safely and properly dispose of household waste and yard trimmings and other green waste at the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center at 2801 Madera Road.
Hazardous materials and business waste will not be accepted.

No appointments are necessary for this event; however, proof of residency is required.
