Got Junk for the Dump?

The Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center will have a free day for Moorpark residents April 21.

The Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center is making it easier—or at least more affordable—to do a big spring cleaning.

Next month, Moorpark residents can take advantage of a free day at the landfill, which accepts residential trash and recyclables, dirt, yard waste, home appliances, tires without rims, furniture and concrete and asphalt.

Business trash, hazardous waste, electronic waste, paint and batteries are among items not accepted; however, special, free household hazardous waste drop off events are available from time to time. Check the Moorpark City Website to find events for Moorpark residents, like the ones in Camarillo on April 12 and April 13.
