Ventura County Government: County Executive Officer Announces Retirement

Ventura, CA – County Executive Officer Mike Powers has announced his retirement, effective immediately, to spend more time with his family after nearly 30 years of service with the County of Ventura.
The Board of Supervisors will soon begin the process to recruit for the next County Executive Officer to build upon the successes and strengths of the County. An interim CEO will be appointed at the March 22 Board of Supervisors meeting.

“We have an excellent leadership team in place to assure continuity of operations while a new CEO is selected,” said Chair of the Board of Supervisors Carmen Ramirez. “We appreciate the leadership across County agencies and departments. We are well positioned with the staff and leaders we have in place to carry on with our key Board priorities with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.”
