Breast Cancer Awareness: Buy Local and Fundraise for a Cure

Mountain View businesses and organizations join the fight against breast cancer.

Didn't participate in Race for the Cure? Can't walk in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Silicon Valley on Oct. 27th?

If you don't have the time, you might have the money to help find a cure for breast cancer and raise awareness about early detection and several businesses and organization can help you do just that.

  • Mountain View Firefighters will be "Passionately Pink for the Cure" this October to support women currently battling cancer. They will wear and sell pink shirts to raise funds in support of the El Camino Hospital Women's Health Foundation. Community members can purchase a pink shirt at the Police/Fire Administration building at 1000 Villa Street from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Fire Station No. 4, 229 N. Whisman Rd., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. if crews are available. T-shirts cost $15 each (cash and checks only).
  • Mountain View newcomer Speck will donate a portion of the sale of every "tagged" pink case to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
