MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — Kristin Cabot, the former HR manager caught embracing and dancing with her married boss on the Jumbotron at a Coldplay concert over the summer, said she’s been harassed online, over the phone, and in person since the incident. She told the New York Times that she was doxxed, received 50-60 death threats, and 500 to 600 calls a day.

Paparazzi reportedly camped across the street from her house and cars cruised around her block. A woman reportedly approached her as she was pumping gas and called her “disgusting” and told her, “You don’t even deserve to breathe the same air that I breathe.”

“I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss. And it’s not nothing. And I took accountability and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay,” she told The Times. “I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up. But you don’t have to be threatened to be killed for them.”

In July, the concert’s kiss cam showed Cabot smooching with her boss, former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron. Both immediately hid their faces. “Oh, look at these two,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin told the crowd. “Alright, come on, you're OK. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."

The video was posted to TikTok, and was suddenly featured everywhere. Both parties were quickly identified, and both resigned from their posts. The board of Astronomer, a New York-based workflow tech company said it would launch a formal investigation into Byron. “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,” the company said.

Cabot told The Times the Astronomer board told her to step away as they conducted the investigation. After that was complete, they asked her to return, but she felt she couldn’t be taken seriously. She said she had trouble leaving the house, installed surveillance cameras in her home, and said her kids were afraid they would all be killed.

Cabot filed for divorce from her husband, from whom she’d been separated at the time.

She said that for a while, she felt guilty, and that she deserved all the harassment. A friend reportedly told her, “You didn’t kill anybody. I hope all these people commenting have never made a mistake.”
