Cyclist Identified In Fatal Hit-and-run Crash In Sunnyvale
The 73-year-old bicycle rider was identified by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office as Javad Hada.
SUNNYVALE, CA -- A bicyclist who was killed in a Sunnyvale hit-and-run crash on Saturday has been identified as 73-year-old Javad Hada, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
A driver hit him and fled the scene at about 1:40 p.m. in the area of Central Expressway and Pajaro Avenue, according to public safety officials. Hada was taken to Stanford Hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
Officials said a maroon 2004 or 2006 Toyota Sienna with front windshield and front fender damage was captured on surveillance footage. Public safety officials are investigating the crash and have not released any new information about a possible suspect.
