MV Man Invents Way to Enjoy Wine Longer

If you've just want a glass of wine and decided not to open a bottle so that it doesn't go bad, a Mountain Viewer has created the device for you.

Scott Tavenner, a local resident of 14 years, has developed a carafe to preserve wine for up to a week by limiting oxidation and maintaining the functionality of a carafe.

"As a lover of wine, I’ve always been perplexed by the problem of how to preserve an opened bottle when I only want a glass or two," said Scott Tavenner, founder of the Savino Wine glasswares. "Savino allows me to have a glass of wine on Tuesday and enjoy the rest of the bottle on Saturday."

The glassware officially launched on Tuesday, Oct. 23 and according to them have already sold 50 percent of their initial production goal in the first few hours.

"We’re excited to launch this innovative product so everyone can enjoy a glass of wine whenever they like," Tavenner said, who enjoys his glasses of wine at Savvy Cellar.

People interested in Savino can get the product via Kickstarter until late November. Afterward, the can go to their site or to Artisan Wine Depot. It costs $49.95.
