'Club 201' Teen Dance

  • What: A safe and fun-filled dance for middle schoolers. Only sixth and eighth graders allowed!

Silicon Valley African Film Festival

  • What: The third annual presentation of the Silicon Valley African Film Festival, a showcase of films reflecting the stories, hopes and dreams of Africa. Highlights of the festival include dialogue with filmmakers, African drumming and dance performances, a parade of African nations, and an awards ceremony. Presented by Oriki Theater in partnership with the Community School of Music and Arts.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

  • What: Join area Latinos as they celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a parade of countries from Spain to Venezuela. There will be music, entertainmen and food. Proceeds from food sales will go to help needy children.

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

TheatreWorks' 33 Variations

  • What: The 2009 Tony Award nominee for Best Play about Beethoven and a musicologist who races against time to solve one of Beethoven’s greatest mysteries.
