Google Earth Car Damaged In Suspicious Mountain View Fire: Updated

Mountain View police are investigating a fire on the Google campus that damaged a Google Earth vehicle parked in the area.

MOUNTAIN VIEW - Fire officials are investigating a Thursday night fire started with two incendiary devices at the Google Campus in Mountain View that burned a Google Earth car and part of a building.

Police say around 10:52 p.m., Mountain View emergency personnel were called to the 1500 block of Salado Drive on reports of a fire.

When police arrived, they noticed a small section of ground and of a building had been charred by a fire.

Police say a Google Earth demonstration car, parked in front of the building, had minor superficial damage.

Mountain View police say they located two incendiary devices at the scene. The devices have been sent to a lab for testing.

Police say this is an active investigation and they can not release any further information at this time.
