George, the Snake, Turns 20 Next Week

The students at St. Paul Child Development Center will throw a big party on Tuesday for their school mascot.

A typical 20-year-old might want an iPhone for their birthday. But what do you get a snake?

George, the beloved corn snake at the St. Paul Child Development Center's at 1075 El Monte Ave., will celebrate his 20th birthday next Tuesday, May 28 at 2:45 p.m.

According to the school, "20 is apparently quite an elderly age for a corn snake and he's been a great class mascot all these years."

But how will George party? The children, who are between the ages of two and a half and six, will hold a birthday party including cards, artwork, gifts and special snacks.

Stay tuned for photos!
