Head-on Truck Crash Kills One, Closes Highway Temporarily
Highway 1 has since reopened since two trucks collided at the intersection with Highway 84 at 5:59 p.m.
SAN GREGORIO, CA -- One person died this evening in unincorporated San Mateo County in a head-on collision between two trucks, one of which was towing a trailer with a tractor on it, law enforcement officials said.
The collision was reported at 5:59 p.m. at state Highway 1 and state Highway 84, according to the California Highway Patrol. A white Ford F-150 and a truck towing a 28-foot trailer with a
tractor on it collided, CHP spokesman Officer Art Montiel said.
Highway 1 was closed in both directions because of the collision but has since reopened.
