Man Struck, Killed By Car On El Camino Real In Mountain View
Mountain View police said the man stepped off the sidewalk into the road when he was hit at Yuba Drive. The driver cooperated with police.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- A pedestrian was killed when a car hit him Monday night in Mountain View, police said.
Officers responded at 8:49 p.m. to the 100 block of El Camino Real following reports of the collision. Police said a car going west on El Camino Real near Yuba Drive hit the pedestrian, a man in his 60s, when he allegedly stepped off the sidewalk into the road.
The man died at the scene.

According to police, the driver of the car stopped and cooperated with officers. Westbound El Camino Real between Yuba Drive and state Highway 237 was closed while an investigation was conducted.
