Mountain View Man Arrested, Accused Of Raping Girl, 12: Police

The man allegedly met the girl on an adult dating site, picked her up at a Sunnyvale park then took her to his Mountain View home: police.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — Police arrested a Mountain View man Monday on suspicion of raping an underage girl, and now detectives are looking for additional victims after he met the 12-year-old on an adult dating site.

Sunnyvale officers responded to reports at 2 a.m. Monday of the missing girl from a home in Sunnyvale. As officers were investigating the incident, they learned that the girl had been communicating via text message with someone who lived at a home on the 500 block of Chesley Court in Mountain View.

Mountain View officers responded to the home and found 46-year-old Sean Muilenburg as he was returning from dropping the girl off a short distance away from her home in Sunnyvale, the police department reported.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned the pair had allegedly met on an adult dating site and exchanged cell phone numbers. The dating site is undisclosed.

According to the police account, Muilenburg picked the girl up at a Sunnyvale park, drove her to his home and performed lewd sex crimes with the girl.

The man was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
