Police Hope To Connect With Cell Phone Bandits In Mountain View
Mountain View PD needs your help finding a man and a woman who fled a store with stolen cell phones and nearly hit a person with their car.

MOUNTAIN VIEW - The Mountain View Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating two suspects who fled a local store with two stolen cell phones Wednesday night and nearly hit a person with their getaway car.
Police in Mountain View posted online photographs of the two suspects, 60-year-old Scott Gilman and 55-year-old Rebecca Fowler.
Police claim Gilman and Fowler created a ruse shortly before 7:00 p.m. while inside the Sprint store, located on the 1000 block of North Rengstorff Avenue, to steal the phones.

They say Gilman pushed a customer, and Fowler grabbed two cell phones from a counter.
The pair then ran from the store and got into their car, a white 2004 Volvo S60, according to police.

While backing out of their parking space, police believe the two saw someone trying to take a picture of their license plate.
Fowler, who police say was was driving, accelerated in an attempt to hit the person, but instead backed into a parked car before fleeing.
Police continue to look for Scott Fowler and Rebecca Gilman.
